1. Spectators will be managed according to the official Rally Safety Plan at specific points along the route which are accessible via approach roads (map will be posted closer to the event), but NOT via the stage road. 2. Unfortunately the LHFR is NOT a very spectator-friendly stage due to a lack of spectator locations which are not on private land. 3. The best way to catch the action at LHFR is to VOLUNTEER, since there are many trails and driveways throughout the stage which need to be blocked during the rally. This gives you a front row seat at the rally. Additionally, volunteers get fed at the after-rally banquet with the rally teams and receive a token of appreciation from LHFR!! These privileges are not awarded to spectators. ![]() Spectator Safety Information Since performance rallies normally take place on forest roads in wilderness areas, persons attending the Lanark Highlands Forest Rally do so entirely at their own risk! This being said, viewing the sport can become an interesting adventure in itself. We suggest that you prepare as if you were going for a walk in the woods. Take warm clothing and footwear, a camera, a watch, food, and a flashlight. By observing the precautions above, your day at the Lanark Highlands Forest Rally should be both memorable and enjoyable. The rally competitors will be traveling over a wide geographical area throughout the day. The high-speed, timed stages are held on a closed forest access road. While spectating, please obey the instructions of the marshals. Your safety, as well as that of the competitors, is at stake. Remember, your car may be moved or removed if, in the opinion of the rally organizers, emergency vehicles could be hampered by its location. Please keep in mind that all local authorities, and the Ontario Provincial Police, are very familiar with the route of the rally. Play it safe and stick to the posted speeds! PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY!!
